NFL Picks Week 13: Reader's Choice Awards

Greetings TSZers,

Below are this week's picks from our TSZ Insiders who are working fervently to recoup their ill-invested $17 for The Spread Zone's Premium Membership package. In our defense, however, our current streak of 28-14-3 ATS (choosing all the games mind you), has Marco and I feeling as though we've earned our $1/week since about Week 10. Nonetheless, we are running a contest in which our Insiders who helped pay the web hosting costs for the site we no longer use submit their top five confidence picks for an on-going contest through Week 17. Picks are graded 5 through 1 (most to least confident) and total scores are update weekly.

What we've learned thus far is:

1. We have some solid, consistent cappers out there as evidenced by Maneesh's 44 out of a total of 60 possible points.

2. It is possible to go 5-0 when picking NFL games, as evidenced by Stan's perfection last week.

3. It doesn't even take skill to do #2 (no offense Stan), as evidenced by my friend Paul's perfection using a random team generator. This week I had to substitute one of his picks because the generator picked the Patriots and the Texans. If they tie, I will never, ever bet again...

...without my own random team generator.

Without further adieu, here are Week 13's updated totals and our reader's Friday Five confidence picks. The standings are out of order, but I'm sure you can all figure it out. Missing entries may be added in the comments section prior to kick-off tomorrow morning.

  1. Patriots 34, Texans 31. Almost a tie.
