WNBA Picks: Minnesota Lynx @ Seattle Storm

The World Cup kicks off in less than a week, and our friends at 1Vice are running their annual World Cup Contest where the winner takes home $2,000 plus $25 per contestant entry. Let's face it, if you know anything about the other football, it's probably money in the bank when you're going up against a bunch of us Americans...said the very secret American soccer fan.

We'll be posting our picks when the games arrive.

Go Spain!

NBA Playoff Record: 43-39-1 ATS

NHL Playoff Record: 4-1-1

MLB Record: 4-7

WNBA: 1-1 ATS

Let's head straight to the WNBA for today's action:

TULSA SHOCK (+4.5) over Phoenix Mercury: We don't know anything about either team, we're simply stat scavengers, and this one caught our eye - The Mercury (4-1) head to Tulsa tonight to face a Shock team that is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games against a team with a winning record.

Minnesota Lynx (-5.5) over SEATTLE STORM: This is our first shot at backing the Lynx since they filled our coffers back in the WNBA playoffs, and we like the five days of rest and the added motivation of remaining undefeated to carry Minnesota to victory here.

CHICAGO SKY (-2.5) over Los Angeles Sparks: Why wouldn't we roll with the 5-1 Sky to defend home court when their only loss this year has come against the defending WNBA champs. Sparks have been on the road for a while, lost to Atlanta a couple of days ago, and have a tougher match tonight. Lay the small chalk.

Indiana Fever @ Washington Mystics UNDER 141: This line is weird with both teams averaging a combined 150 on offense/defensive rankings, but the low number and this stat has us taking the UNDER - Play Under – Home teams where the first half total is between 65.5 and 70.5 points after having won 4 or 5 of their last 6 games, with a winning record on the season
221-133 since 1997. ( 62.4% | 74.7 units )

May the Spreads Be With You,

Vinny and Marco
