I feel like we really deserved the 2-0 ATS night last night, but Brooklyn couldn't hold on late for the cover and LeBron James was just too good to overcome last night. Meanwhile in Rip City, the Blazers looked every bit as good as they did in the first round. Although we believe both of these series are essentially over, Portland could potentially grab one more cover for bettors before they hit the off-season. For now, however, let's look at tonight's Game 5's in Indiana and OKC.
Washington Wizards (+5.5) over INDIANA PACERS: We believe the Pacers win this game and the series, but the young Wizards will show some maturity by giving them all they've got. Let's face it, the numbers don't mean jack at this point. We all know how great the Wiz were until two games ago and how awful the Pacers were. The underdog and the road team is now 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Indy seems to have found their stride and the dangling carrot of the Miami Heat is now close enough to taste. Three of the four games in this series have been decided by less than this spread, so take the points and enjoy the cover.
Los Angeles Clippers (+5.5) over OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER: The winner of Game 5 when the series is tied at 2 goes on to win the series 75% of the time. With that in mind, both of these teams will fight hard early to avoid the big deficit that can come with lack of energy. The road team is 5-1 ATS in this series, and it's probably because of the ridiculous line swings we're seeing. It would be foolish not to take the points for the rest of this series.
