I hate to sound cliche, but does anyone know if the A.C. is working at the AT&T Center? It's a good thing that wasn't he PG&E Center, or their stock would have taken a major hit. Or what if there had been no Internet? People don't mind 90 degree heat provided they can tweet about it or send a 1970's style Instagram of their sweaty shirt and dripping make-up to their friends.

The unfortunate part of Game 1 that got lost in the real heat, the Heat loss, and the heat taken by blue collar workers behind the scenes is the fact that although it appeared the Miami Heat had the game in hand until LeBron went down with cramps, the truth is we'd seen that story before with San Antonio. Portland and Oklahoma City also hung tough in games for 2-3 quarters before getting completely annihilated by the Spurs depth. That said, let's get to our not-so-surprising pick for Game 2.

NBA

SAN ANTONIO SPURS (-4) over Miami Heat: If we took the Spurs at -5.5 three days ago, Game 1 did nothing to dissuade us here. Had the Spurs lost, we'd take them here, so a sloppy, fifteen point win has us doing the same. Our prediction - less heat in the arena, fewer turnovers by the Spurs, and a more comfortable lead throughout the game for San Antonio. The Heat will come out fired up, but there will be no complacency on the part of the Spurs who still have a bitter taste in their mouths from last year's Finals. We'll lay the points, as S.A. heads to Miami up 2-0.
