Well another day of birdieing the front nine and bogeying the back has Marco and I dead even through two days of playoff basketball. We'll stay the course and hope that familiarity breeds some better results. The Under was a great call on the Mavs/Spurs game, so at least there's that.
Record: 4-4 ATS
Power Rankings: 5/10 (I forgot to rank yesterday's line-up)
Tonight features a couple of pivotal Game 2's with the Warriors/Clippers and Grizzlies/Thunder resuming their series'. If you like betting underdogs, we believe tonight is your night.
Memphis Grizzlies (+7) over OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER: The Memphis Grizzlies will have to do a better job on the offensive end in order to hang with the Thunder. If they dig themselves an early hole, they'll be in trouble. We believe there will be a sense of urgency on their part not wanting to fall into an 0-2 hole to OKC. Zach Randolf will have to have a better game and the Thunder role players will have to miss some shots. Ultimately, Memphis will probably lose, but this game will be closer all the way through. Don't be afraid to take the points again.
Golden State Warriors (+8) over LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS: Once again, please remember that we are GSW Homers, but we're also honest with ourselves when it comes to bigger lines like this. Although it's clear that the oddsmakers expect the Clips to rebound from their loss, we'll take the Warriors and their 6-2 SU/7-1 ATS record over their last eight games. The two losses, mind you, came by a combined three points. Klay Thompson show what a lethal perimeter defender he can be in Game 1, and if the Warriors can limit their turnovers to say...under 1,000 (like Game 1), they have a real shot at stealing another road victory. Take the points twice tonight.
Best of luck,
V & M
