NFL Picks Week 8: Dolphins Patriots ATS or More Accurately JK's Super Teaser Special

JK's Super Teaser Saturday Special...Now Available on Friday!!!

As I began to write this, I wondered to myself if there's a book called Sports Zone For Dummies. After a very, very successful Week 7 of the NFL, I had many of my friends say " JK, why didn't you tell me what day the picks were going up?" or "What's the name of that site again?" Well, for all of you guys who keep asking, I told you Vinny and Marco are my E.F Hutton and just as I wouldn't lose there number or web address you shouldn't lose or forget it either. Remember this is a "Labor of Love" for them, but it's an investment opportunity for all of us. So for all of the forgetful out there, Vinny and Marco put there weekly picks out on Thursday - and that's every Thursday - at The Daily Spread.

My picks on the teaser and super teaser are their picks with the games I feel should be switched or as we call it "bounced" and I pass those along to TSZ to be released by Saturday at the latest. All that being said, from this point on I will not answer those questions again no matter how many times you text, e-mail or call. It's The Spread Zone. It's Vinny and Marco. And now it's JK in the house. Google that shit and find it yourself. LOL.

And to the few that had a Super Pleaser weekend, thanks for logging on to the fellas' site and let's hope we can take Vegas to the bank again this weekend.

This weekend there's only 10 games I'm playing this weekend 6 1pm games and 4 4pm games so remember to play 6 games on 1 card and then play 10 on another that way your not caught with 1 late game messing up both cards. Also -  if you can - you can play just the 4pm games if the odds are good enough for you. And just a friendly reminder, use two or three sources when you make your picks. This is a business, so be sure to compare and invest intelligently, because unfortunately there is no book called The Spread Zone For Dummies.

Here are this weekend's picks and bounce games.

Good luck out there,

JK

NFL Picks Week 4: Super Teasing Your Way to the Bank

The Super Teaser Saturday Special

By: JK, TSZ Insider

Hello Spread Zone followers,

I've been a loyal follower of The Spread zone for two seasons now, and I have made a lot of money with the SZ team. The one catch, however, is that I play the SZ Team's picks on Teasers and Super Teasers, which I now call Pleasers and Super Pleasers. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, a teaser/pleaser is a type of bet which allows you to adjust the lines on three or more games in exchange for a reduced payout. As a business man for over 22 years, I've learned that taking risk is a part of everyday success or failure and the same goes for sports betting. What you have to figure out to stay on top in both of these worlds, is the difference between acceptable and unacceptable risk.

For example, last week the Vikings were giving up 5 1/2 points on the parlay (too risky), but on the on the Super Pleaser they were getting 4 1/2 points (acceptable risk). See I don't look at this as gambling, I look at it as investing and just like in the stock market you have low risk, medium risk, and high risk each bearing a different returns. Similarly in sports betting you have different returns on your investment depending on which risk you're willing to take or which risk is acceptable to you.

I will give you another example from Week 2: I took the SZ Teams picks against the spread and I played them on Teasers (Pleaser) and Super Teasers (Pleaser) I played a 10 team teaser paying 30-1 and 11 team Super paying 11-1. Now those same teams played on a parlay payed 800-1 and 1400-1 respectively, but remember I said acceptable risk - and to me the parlay risk is not one I am willing to accept. Instead, I played The SZ picks changing none and eliminating the ones I wasn't comfortable with and both tickets hit.

Last week I played a 9 team Super and a 6 Teaser, also both hitting. So remember don't think of the teaser as a sissy or a sucker bet as some call it in Vegas, call it an acceptable risk that your willing to take every Sunday. One of my employees who pokes fun at me for laying $50 on 11 team teaser 45-1 and $100 on 11 team super paying 11-1, which -  with the help of The Spread Zone - hit 4 weeks in a row. He said "ain't no money in them teasers" I said "would you rather try to get $8000 once or $1100 a week for 17 weeks" everybody said "$1100 a week," to which I said, "Now is that a teaser or a pleaser?" They all said a pleaser....... Happy Pleasing my friends Happy Pleasing.

Here are my recommended Teaser and Super Teaser Cards for this week:

MaChez Says: NFL: Five Week 2 Picks & Predictions

Five Solid NFL Week 2 Picks and Predictions

By MaChez, TSZ Expert

For those two of you who read my first “MaChez Says” article, you know we didn’t do too well (0-5).  But, the joke’s on you.  Vinny actually asked me to write an article highlighting the risks of sports betting and it went exactly as planned.  Suckers. Despite hours of research and confirmation in my thinking from other sources, all five of my picks (which were essentially 50-50 picks) were wrong, just like I wanted them to be.  Perfect.

Now what are the odds of getting five 50% predictions wrong? 1/32 or 3.125%. Pretty small, I know.  The chances of that happening (and then going 4-11-1 ATS) are so unlikely, it’s good we got it out of the way early, right? Yes, true, BUT it's just as likely we’ll go 5-0: 3.125%.  And that’s how sports betting goes.  You will have days when you win them all and other days when you don’t win any.  Some days you’ll go 4-1 or 1-4 (15.625% each), and more likely than not you’ll go 3-2 or 2-3 (31.25%).

In the end you’ll likely come out somewhere around 50% winning percentage.  You need 53% to make a profit on standard -110 odds and if you’re sitting up at 60% you’re doing really well.  Which just makes Vinny & Marco’s 65% win rate last year on their Friday Five all the more impressive.  So yes, Week 1 of the NFL didn’t go as well as we all would have hoped.  But be smart, stick with TSZ, bet what you can afford, and it’ll be a good season.

MaChez Says Week 2 Picks:

1. Packers/Redskins Over 50.5 (-108 @ 5Dimes)
2. Denver Broncos (-4) over New York Giants (-105 @ 5Dimes)
3. Teaser Sides 6 Points: New Orleans (+3) and Chicago (+.5)
4. Denver/New York Giants Over 55 (-102 @ 5Dimes)

5. Green Bay Packers (-7) over Washington Redskins (-114 @ 5Dimes)
